This article will teach you how to add tiles to your dashboard and the best practises to make your dashboard unique.
If you are still unsure how to create a dashboard, please see HERE
Finding Your Dashboard:
- Firstly you will need to find the dashboard you want to organise.
- Alternatively if you are on your dashboard already simply click on 'Edit' then 'Layout' on the top bar.
- To find your dashboard head to the sidebar, then find 'Administration' and underneath you will see 'Dashboards'.
- Select the dashboard you want and click 'Layout' on the right.
Changing the Layout:
- You should now be able to edit the layout of your dashboard.
- The grid you see allows you to add tiles and size them in a way which you like, adding increased personalisation to your myday tenancy.
- You will see that along the top bar there are options to select that will change the layout as follows:
- Small, Medium and Large: These options are here for you to design your dashboard layout for use on multiple devices. Small is for a mobile, Medium for a tablet and Large for a computer screen.
- Layout Settings: This allows you to change how the tiles respond to movement on the layout grid.
- What do the toggles do?
- When both are switched to 'False' you can move any tile anywhere on the screen but it will not move any other tiles .
- When both are switched to 'True' you are able to move tiles around in any direction, it will both push and swap tiles out the way. (This is not recommended as it can make the tiles hypersensitive and difficult to organise).
- When Swap is set to 'True' and Push to 'False' , you will be able to JUST swap tiles.
- When Swap is set to 'False' and Push to 'True', you can JUST push tiles out of the way, they will not swap.
- Add a tile: Allows you to add tiles that you have installed on your tenancy.
- Hidden Tiles: You can assign tiles to be hidden from your users.
- Tile Position: Sets whether the tile icon is at the top or bottom.
- Gradient: Options to change the colour gradient of the tiles.
- Border: Sets a border for your tiles.
- Scaling: Allows you to make your dashboard full screen or scaled to size.
- Floating: Enables tiles to fill any space or remain floating in their original position.
- Animations: Enable or disable animations and set the delay and duration time of the tile information.
Tip: When editing the layout of your dashboard always remember to click the green 'Save Changes' icon in the top right corner to make sure your settings are applied.
